Police in Kivaa, Masinga Sub-county of Machakos County, have arrested a 38-year-old man for allegedly defiling his Grade 8 daughter.
Kaewa Chief Josphat Muli Mawia confirmed the incident, stating that the man had repeatedly engaged in the act. He added that the girl corroborated her father’s actions, which led to his arrest.
“The man is currently held at Kaewa police station awaiting arraignment in court as more investigations are done. The girl has narrated the ordeal to the police, and we will let the law take its course,” said the chief.
He noted that the girl had been treated at Kaewa Hospital and warned men with similar habits that the long arm of the law would soon catch them.
He called on fathers to be on the front line in protecting their children from harm.
“These kids look up to you for protection; it’s a shame that the people they run to for protection turn out to be the monsters,” he said.
The chief also called for the community to report such incidents immediately to ensure the victims’ justice.
