The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Evaleen Jesang Mitei, has been honoured with the prestigious Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (M.B.S.).
She has been placed at Number 231 in the 2025 Jamhuri Day Honours. Her name appears in the Kenya Gazette Vol. CXXVII – No. 259, released on December 11, 2025, under the national roll of distinguished awardees: “231. Ms. Mitei Evaleen Jesang.”

Although the Gazette does not outline the specifics behind each honour, the M.B.S. award is traditionally reserved for individuals whose contributions have made a significant impact on public institutions, communities, or national development.
