The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education (KUPPET) Siaya branch leadership wants the Cabinet Secretary for Education Prof. George Magoha moved to another Ministry.
Siaya branch Executive Secretary Mr. Sam Opondo suggests that Prof. Magoha be transferred to the Ministry of Defense, accusing him of militarizing the Ministry of Education.
The unionist made the remarks during the launch of the release of Siaya County bursaries at the County headquarters where he pleaded with Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga to advise President Uhuru Kenyatta to transfer the CS if he can possibly reach out to him.
Mr. Opondo lamented that despite his high academic stature, Prof. Magoha has in many occasions on the limelight for bad deeds, therefore, suggested that he needs to be advised to change his way of operations.
He, however, averred stated that the CS needs to know and understand that those in the education sector are not in war with him and hence he should respect them.
Pressure has been mounting on Prof. Magoha to apologize after he was captured on camera while publicly humiliating a senior education officer in Uasin-Gishu County recently.
