North Eastern region football champions Bute Secondary School are an excited lot after they received full sets of sports kits from Jerex Sports, a local sports kit provider.
The team of 15 players lacks sports wear, a situation that forced them to wear kits that do not match.
Their situation came to the attention of their sponsor after a photo of the team without good kits went viral on social media.
Simon Mbatha, one of the directors of Jerex Sports Directors, said that he noticed that the players had a difficult time locating each other while players because of lack of sports kits.
“We noticed they did not have proper playing kits in the field hence players could not locate each other when passing the ball. We decided to donate a full set of playing kits which amounts to Ksh.40, 000,” stated Simon Mbatha.
Hassan Mahamud, the school’s Principal, appreciated the efforts and thanked Jerex Sports Group for clothing his team.
