Nyeri County Assembly Speaker John Kaguchia has called on young university graduates to use knowledge acquired through their education to create jobs not only for themselves but others through innovation and modern technology.
Speaking at Kenyatta University (KU) during the university’s 45th graduation ceremony, Kaguchia who is a former KU student leader said the youth of this country can no longer rely on paid employment and should use skills acquired through innovation and technology to create jobs.
“You have been given the power to read and do all that appertains to your respective degrees and this should include using those powers and knowledge to create jobs not only for yourselves but other youths since our country cannot grow with over reliance on paid employment” he said
Kaguchia was a student leader at KU between 2006 and 2007. He had been invited by the university as one of the motivational speakers.
