Two students from Masai Mara University were attacked and robbed by unknown assailants in Kipangas, Narok County, in the early hours of Monday.
The incident occurred at about 3:40 a.m. when the students were reportedly confronted by the attackers, one of whom was armed with a panga.
The assailants allegedly forced the students to surrender their mobile phone passwords and account PINs before taking several valuables.
Students lose phones, laptop
Among the items reported stolen were an HP laptop and charger, a Samsung mobile phone and charger, a Vivo phone and charger, and a music gadget.
The attackers fled the scene with the stolen property.
No casualties were reported in the incident.

The circumstances surrounding the attack remain unclear, and the incident is expected to be investigated by the police.
The robbery has raised concerns over the safety of students living and moving around the area during the night, particularly in the vicinity of the university.
