Only about 20,000 of the 334,442 teachers enrolled in the Public Service Superannuation Fund (PSSF) had updated their pension details on the fund’s digital platform at the time of the latest update, prompting the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to renew its call for members to complete the process.
The commission is urging all teachers under the scheme to register on the PSSF Member Self-Service Portal, verify their pension information and update their beneficiary records as the fund moves towards fully digital pension management.
The fresh appeal comes as TSC and PSSF join the countdown to World Teachers’ Day 2026, placing renewed attention on teachers’ retirement records and access to pension information.
Teachers who have not registered on the portal are required to create their digital accounts. Once registered, they can use their credentials to access pension statements, monitor their retirement savings and submit pension-related requests online.
PSSF is also requiring members to ensure that their beneficiary information is complete and accurate. Teachers must provide full details of the people nominated to receive their pension benefits. For children, the birth certificate number is required, while adult beneficiaries should have their identification and telephone details captured. Members are also required to indicate the percentage of pension benefits allocated to each nominated beneficiary.
Teachers who nominate minors must additionally provide details of a guardian. The guardian will serve as a point of contact in matters concerning expenses paid by the PSSF Trust Fund on behalf of the minor beneficiary.

The registration drive follows a directive issued in July requiring teachers enrolled in PSSF to register on the self-service portal as the fund transitions to a digital pension management system.
TSC has cautioned that teachers who fail to register may not be able to conveniently monitor their retirement savings or submit pension-related requests through the digital platform. The commission has also stressed the importance of accurate beneficiary information, particularly because outdated or incomplete records may complicate the administration of benefits when a member leaves service.

With teachers accounting for about 334,442 members of PSSF, the commission is calling on every member to use the digital platform to confirm that their personal, pension and beneficiary information is current.
The exercise is intended to ensure that teachers have clear access to their retirement records and that their nominated beneficiaries are properly documented when benefits become payable.
