Teachers with disabilities in Bomet are set to benefit from assistive devices today as KUPPET Bomet partners with the Daniel Mutai Foundation – Service to Humanity: Disability Rights Champion, in an event aimed at advancing inclusion and equal opportunities in the teaching profession.
The function, to be held at Bomet Green Stadium, will bring together teachers and other stakeholders to promote equity and inclusion for people with disabilities. A key highlight will be the demonstration and distribution of assistive devices to teachers with disabilities, intended to provide practical support that helps them perform their professional duties effectively.
The event will be held under the theme “No Teacher Should Be Left Behind,” reinforcing calls for a teaching profession in which disability does not become a barrier to opportunity, dignity or effective service delivery.

KUPPET Bomet Branch Gender Secretary Evalyne Chepkirui Sanguya will lead the function alongside Gender Secretary Two in charge of teachers with disabilities, Jedidah Chepkirui.
Organisers say the initiative is designed to go beyond awareness by promoting practical interventions, including access to assistive devices and a greater understanding of the needs of teachers with disabilities. The event will also serve as a platform for capacity building, allowing teachers with disabilities to share experiences and highlight the challenges affecting their participation in the workplace.
The Daniel Mutai Foundation has been at the forefront of championing disability rights, advocating for greater inclusion and equal opportunities for people with disabilities in society. Its partnership with KUPPET Bomet offers an opportunity to advance the conversation on disability rights while extending direct support to teachers with disabilities.
