Teachers have been encouraged to leave a lasting legacy wherever they serve, with education leaders saying the greatest reward in the profession is the positive impact made on learners’ lives.
Speaking at Kivandini Primary School, where he had been invited as a guest and friend of the school, Malivani AIC Comprehensive School Headteacher Joshua Mutuse said teachers should serve with passion and purpose, noting that the lives they transform will always speak for them.
“Always leave a legacy wherever you teach. Work passionately and with purpose at all times,” said Mutuse.
He also thanked leaders for turning up in large numbers whenever they are invited to support education initiatives.
School appeals for infrastructure support
Kivandini Primary School Headteacher Elizabeth Mwau said the school urgently requires additional infrastructure despite having adequate land for expansion.
She thanked the area Member of Parliament for supporting the levelling of the school grounds, noting that the institution sits on 11 acres and has an enrolment of 397 learners.

“We have enough land for expansion. What we need now is support for the construction of the infrastructure required to serve our learners,” said Mwau.
