Director of Public Prosecutions Renson Mulele Ingonga has approved 16 murder charges against nine suspects linked to the tragic fire that claimed the lives of 16 students at Utumishi Girls Senior School in Gilgil, Nakuru County.

The decision follows a review of the investigation file submitted by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) regarding the deadly incident that occurred on May 28.
