  • Head of Public Service handed over a new bus to KMTC Tiaty campus to boost mobility and outreach.
  • He further reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding training capacity and strengthening institutional infrastructure to equip trainees with the skills and values needed for professional service.

Head of Public Service Felix Koskei has handed over a new bus Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Tiaty Campu, saying the vehicle will enhance mobility for students and staff while supporting training activities and community outreach programmes.

Speaking during a visit to the institution, Koskei reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding training capacity and strengthening institutional infrastructure to equip trainees with the skills and values needed for professional service.

He urged students to embrace hard work, discipline, and professionalism as they prepare to serve the nation in various capacities.

“The government will continue to increase training capacity and strengthen infrastructure to expand access and equip trainees as professionals committed to integrity, discipline, and service,” said Koskei.

He noted that investment in training institutions remains a key government priority aimed at producing competent professionals capable of meeting the country’s growing workforce demands.

The event brought together several national and local leaders, highlighting the critical role of health training in Kenya’s development agenda. Among those present were Principal Secretaries Ummi Bashir (Culture, Arts and Heritage), Joel Arumonyang (Public Works), Kello Harsama (Petroleum), and Eng. John Tanui (ICT and Digital Economy).

Also in attendance were Tiaty MP William Kamket, Data Commissioner Immaculate Kassait, KMTC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kelly Oluoch, KMTC Tiaty Principal Timothy Kiptoo, staff, students, and members of the local community.

The leaders reiterated the importance of continued investment in education and training infrastructure to improve access to quality learning opportunities and support national development goals.
