Parents attending the Annual General Meeting (AGM) at St Joseph’s Girls Senior School-Kitale were given an opportunity to inspect the school’s dormitories and personally assess the living conditions of their daughters amid allegations that had been circulating about the institution.

The school administration said the visit was intended to promote transparency and allow parents to verify claims that had been made regarding the students’ accommodation facilities.

According to the school, parents toured the dormitories and observed firsthand where their daughters sleep.

The administration challenged those who participated in the exercise to share their experiences and confirm whether what they witnessed matched the allegations that had been circulating.

“We invite those parents to share what they saw and whether it matched the stories that had been told. Facts speak louder than propaganda,” the school said in a statement.

The institution maintained that it upholds high standards and remains committed to providing a safe, conducive and dignified learning and boarding environment for its students.

School leaders further urged members of the public to avoid spreading misinformation and instead engage constructively in efforts aimed at improving the institution.

“There is no reason for hatred or misinformation. Constructive engagement builds; empty criticism destroys,” the statement added.

The remarks come at a time when concerns over student welfare, dormitory conditions and school safety have attracted heightened public attention in learning institutions across the country.
