Lenana School has announced a phased readmission programme for students following the unrest that occurred on June 1, 2026, which resulted in the destruction of school property.
In a notice dated June 8, 2026, the school management said the decision was reached after consultations with the Ministry of Education, the Board of Management and Parents Association stakeholders.
According to the notice, students will be readmitted in phases beginning Wednesday, June 10, with Form Four students reporting first. Grade 10 and Form Three learners will return on different dates between June 15 and June 19.
The school has outlined several conditions that must be met before students are allowed back into the institution.
Every learner must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the reporting process. Students arriving with siblings, relatives, drivers or any other representatives will not be admitted.
Parents have also been directed to clear all outstanding school fees and other financial obligations before readmission. In addition, families are required to pay Ksh 3,600 towards damages caused during the unrest. Proof of payment must be presented during admission.
The administration further stated that students must report in full school uniform and adhere to all grooming requirements.
