A dormitory at Bware Mixed Senior School was destroyed by fire in an incident reported on Wednesday, causing concern among learners, parents, and education authorities.
The fire broke out at the school located in Uriri Sub-county, reducing the dormitory to ashes within a short time. The cause of the fire is yet to be established, with authorities confirming that investigations are ongoing.
Education officers and security teams were swiftly deployed to the scene to assess the extent of the damage and begin preliminary investigations into what may have triggered the blaze. At the time of the incident, no official casualties had been confirmed, though property belonging to students is believed to have been destroyed.
