KNEC pays tribute to workers on Labour Day, lauds role in strengthening education, national development

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has extended a warm Labour Day message to workers across the country, praising their dedication, integrity and resilience in shaping Kenya’s future through service and professionalism.

In its message marking Labour Day, the council said it recognizes and values the contribution of all workers involved in strengthening national systems, particularly those in the education sector who support the delivery of credible assessments.

“This Labour Day we salute the dedication, integrity and resilience of all workers shaping our nation’s future,” the statement read.

The council further emphasized that at KNEC, it deeply appreciates the vital role played by stakeholders in ensuring fair, transparent and credible examinations that continue to transform lives across the country.

The examination body noted that the success of national examinations is made possible through the collective effort of teachers, examiners, invigilators, supervisors and education officers who uphold professionalism and integrity throughout the examination cycle.

KNEC reiterated its commitment to strengthening examination systems through continuous reforms, including improved security measures, digital assessment processes and capacity building for personnel involved in national assessments.

It stressed that maintaining the credibility of examinations remains key to building public trust in the education system and supporting learner progression.

The council called for continued cooperation among all education stakeholders to uphold standards and ensure fairness in assessments.

It urged workers across all sectors to remain committed to excellence as the nation works towards sustainable development and improved service delivery.
