Nehemiah Kipkorir alias Mtetezi, a Junior Secondary School (JSS) intern teacher in Kwale County and the national chairman of JSS intern teachers, on Sunday completed a 44-kilometre run from Mazeras town to Samburu town to advocate for key reforms affecting intern educators.
The symbolic endurance challenge was aimed at drawing national attention to the urgent need for confirmation of JSS intern teachers into permanent and pensionable terms.
Kipkorir noted that many interns continue to serve under uncertainty despite playing a critical role in implementing the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) at the junior secondary level.
