Saire Secondary School emerged as the overall champions in both boys’ and girls’ handball during the Upper Zone Secondary Schools Term One Games held at Sogoo High School, showcasing a commanding performance in the Amalo Sub-county competition.

In the boys’ category, Saire dethroned outgoing Narok South Sub-county champions Siwot Secondary School after edging them 7–5 in a tightly contested final. The victory marked a significant achievement for Saire, who displayed tactical discipline and strong teamwork throughout the match.

Earlier in the semi-finals, Saire overwhelmed hosts Sogoo High School 12–5 to secure their place in the final, while Siwot Secondary School earned their spot by defeating Kapkatet Secondary School 6–4 in another competitive encounter.

Saire also dominated the girls’ handball competition, defeating Siwot Secondary School 6–4 in the final to complete a remarkable double victory. The girls had earlier cruised past Marinwa Secondary School 5–0 in the semi-finals, while Siwot beat Lower Sagamian Secondary School 6–2 to reach the decisive match.

School principal Leonard Tonui praised the students for their dedication, discipline, and determination, noting that their success reflects the school’s strong commitment to co-curricular excellence.
