St Martin’s Mwibale Mixed Secondary in Kanduyi Constituency will ceace to admit boys from January next year, the Principal Emily Muhonja has said.
Speaking to Education News Muhonja said that the Ministry of Education had approved the institution as a girls’ school, but the approval letter was received when this year’s Form One admissions had already been done. “The single-sex approval letter reached my desk when we had already admitted 68 boys and 116 girls and it was not possible for us to relocate boys to other schools,” she said.
She added, “We shall begin to admit girls only from next year and boys be will eventually be phased out by December, 2021.”
The Principal appealed to well-wishers to help it upgrade its infrastructure and clear a loan of Sh3.1 million bfor the us or else it will be repossessed by the supplier.
