Kabuyefwe Boys Senior School in Trans Nzoia County has earned regional acclaim after its Scouts team emerged champions at the Rift Valley Regional Scouts Competition, securing a place at the National Scouts Competitions set to be held at Mt. Kenya University in Kiambu County.
The four-day competition brought together top Scout teams from across the Rift Valley Region, with participants competing in a series of activities designed to test leadership, discipline, teamwork, innovation, and practical scouting skills.
Kabuyefwe Boys outperformed the other teams to claim the regional title, earning the honour of representing the Rift Valley Region at the national championships later this year.
School Principal Protus Wanjala praised the Scouts for their outstanding achievement, describing the victory as a reflection of the school’s commitment to nurturing disciplined, responsible, and all-round learners.
“This remarkable achievement is a testament to the discipline, resilience, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to excellence demonstrated by our Scouts. We are proud of them and confident they will represent the Rift Valley Region with distinction at the national competition,” said Wanjala.

He noted that the school continues to prioritize both academic excellence and co-curricular development, saying participation in activities such as scouting equips learners with leadership skills, confidence, responsibility, and the ability to serve their communities.
The principal also commended the Scouts’ trainers, teachers, and parents for their dedication and support, noting that their collective efforts had contributed significantly to the team’s success.
The qualification adds to Kabuyefwe Boys’ growing list of achievements in both academics and co-curricular activities, reinforcing its reputation as one of the region’s leading learning institutions.
With preparations for the national championships now underway, the school’s Scouts are expected to intensify training as they seek to bring national honours to Kabuyefwe Boys and the Rift Valley Region.
The victory has been widely celebrated within the school community, with students, teachers, and alumni expressing confidence that the team will continue its impressive performance on the national stage.
