Ex-Minister Ongeri urges voters to choose leaders who prioritize education as backbone of society

Former Minister for Education Prof. Sam Ongeri has told communities to engage themselves in politics that give priority to education development instead of divisive politics.

The professor was speaking at St Andrew’s Kahawa Catholic Church in Nyamira County where he joined other political leaders and the church for Sunday worship services yesterday.

He praised the Catholic church for being vocal in the advocacy of profitable education, societies’ up right living and other social injustices like Gender Based Violence and abuse of children’s rights.

He asked the electorate to choose leaders who fear God and from Him in all their understandings in the leadership of the country.

He spike with nostalgia when he was Minister of education when he fought for the education curriculum that braced holistic approach in molding the child but regretted that his success lost track to perpetuate his vision.

“Education is the back bone of this country that is why I would like Kenyans to elect a president who has its passion at heart.” He said
