In tears, a helpless Kericho student has taken to social media with a heartfelt plea, begging well-wishers to come to her rescue. The now-viral 2-minute clip showed Sharon Chepkoech uncontrollably crying, asking anyone to help her.
She is a final-year student at Kericho Teachers Training College, and unlike her classmates, she is still at home. Financial distress that has been normal since she joined the college is about to prevent her from completing her homestretch.
In the clip, Chepkoech revealed that she has accumulated arrears of 64,000/ and with that, she will not be allowed in class unless cleared. She is supposed to sit for her final exams in October this year, but this dream seems unrealistic as her family is at the limit.
According to a neighbour and philanthropist, Regen Kip, the family has sold everything in their possession, hoping to find her education. He reveals that the humble background of Chepkoech has reached its limit and exhausted all possible means, and the Commission plans to finance her further.

“She is my neighbour from Londiani. Parents have struggled, and now there is nothing left to sell to pay her school fees. Let’s come out in good faith and help her; her success is a step out of poverty in her family, ” Sec. Regen Kip shared.
The video clip continues to attract positive comments from Kenyans known for their willingness to he many have vowed to raise as little as they can to ensure she goes back to school. Chepkoech is one among many students enduring difficult school life due to Financial problems.
