“ It has taken a lot of hard work, discipline, and determination to reach this level, moving through zonals, sub-county, county, regional, national, and now continental championships. I am a very proud coach today,” he added.

The Principal of Tala High School, Dickson Muasya, hailed Lemerketo’s achievement as a historic moment for the school, which was recently elevated to national school status.

“Loyangu has not only made Tala High School proud but has also put Machakos County and the entire country on the athletics map. We will continue to support him fully as he prepares to represent Kenya in the Africa games,” said Muasya.
