Mwaura revealed that 19 bodies were recovered from the dormitory, while two boys died in hospital during treatment.

“In total, there were 330 boarders: 166 girls and 164 boys. All the girls are safe at home with their families, and all 164 boys have been accounted for,” he stated.

The fire, which broke out in the boys’ dormitory, has left the school community and the nation devastated.
