Majority Chief Whip Silvanus Osoro has offered to sponsor the shooting of Kisii School’ second album, after the institution launched its first album, ‘Walivuka’ (they crossed) sang by the school’s Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) choir.
Osoro, the South Mugirango Member of Parliament said he was impressed with the first album, noting, he was listening to the songs through YouTube, terming them enriching spiritually.
“The songs have messages and I congratulate the choir for the good work. I am an active follower of your choir on You Tube and today I wanted to connect the faces with voices,” Osoro said when he was hosted by Chief Principal, Fred Mogaka told students.
The MP, who is leads parliament’s choir and runs four sets of bands which participate in national events, adding, he likes music and engages other choirs often.

“I sold newspapers, hawked, suffered as an orphan during my childhood, worked hard until I succeeded. I am now an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and practice law,” the MP told the students.
The MP noted lazy students were bound to fail and pay the price at old age, noting, they will realise they wasted time when they will be unable to pay fees for their children and continue scratching their heads regretting.

Dr Wills Oruta, Chaplaincy and Education Director, South Kenya Conference who launched the album commended the choir and asked it to produce more albums to foster evangelism through songs.
Lydiah Mokogoti, a media personality who inspired and sponsored the choir with the support of music teacher, Reuben Ondara said the launching of the album was a dream come true.

She said when the choir sang the song, she realized it was good and challenged them to produce an album, noting, it attracted a lot of followers on You Tube.
“The choir did so well and I felt that it was necessary for it to produce the songs and soon it will add more foster evangelisation.
