80% of Moi High School Mbiruri candidates secure direct university entry

202 out of 252 candidates at Moi High School Mbiruri in Embu County have secured direct university entry in the 2023 KCSE examinations.

Speaking while addressing the press Principal Patrick Nderitu noted that 8 students scored grade A, 20 students scored A-, 32 scored B+ and 42 got a B plain.

He attributed the success to sheer hard work, student commitment and coordination between staff and parents.

”We are very happy today that we have 8 students with an A constant. This is a big achievement and we want to celebrate our candidates for these results,” he said.

Nderitu further acknowledged efforts by teachers and support staff for collaborating to complete the syllabus on time.

Among the top candidates who scored an A include; Eric Macharia, Mbula Charles Mumo, Mboroki Shedrack and Clinton Murimi.

Top candidate Eric Macharia attributed the results to hard work and God’s guidance, adding that he will pursue Medicine at the University of Nairobi or abroad.

His mother Ann Wawira could not hide her tears of joy lauding her son for being disciplined and hardworking.

Embu nominated MCA Yvonne Mate called on well-wishers to support the student to realize his dream since he hails from a humble background.
