MP threatens to impeach Machogu for incompetence

Matungulu MP Stephen Mule graces graduation of pastors from Theophilus Theological University. He threatened to impeach education CS Ezekiel Machogu if KCPE results do not reach schools by Tuesday next week.

Matungulu Member of Parliament (MP) Stephen Mule has threatened to take a motion to Parliament seeking to impeach Education CS Ezekiel Machogu.

The lawmaker expressed his discontentment over Machogu’s performance, stating that he has failed to discharge his duties as a minister diligently.

As a consequence of his ineptitude, Mule said, complaints are flying right left and centre, particularly concerning this year’s KCPE results.

Mule said that since the exam release last week, the results are yet to reach schools, promising that if by Tuesday next week the results will not have been made available in schools, he will move a motion to oust the minister as Kenyans are beginning to lose confidence in him.

“No single child who sat the KCPE exams has received the official results from KNEC. I want to tell Machogu that if by Tuesday these results are not available, I will bring a motion to Parliament and have him impeached, “said Mule.

“We cannot have people in such a position who do not know their work. The parents and pupils need the results as soon as possible; so take my words seriously,” he added.

Mule spoke during the graduation ceremony of several pastors from Theophilus Theological University earlier today.
