MP assures locals of his commitment to supporting education

Kitutu Chache North MP Japheth Nyakundi.

Kitutu Chache North MP Japeth Nyakundi has assured locals of his commitment to supporting education through renovating old buildings and constructing new ones in schools.

He promised that he will allocate more NG-CDF funds to infrastructural development in these institutions.

“Learners need an enabling environment to succeed and this starts with classrooms,” he said.

Nyakundi was speaking to parents of Engoto Primary School yesterday when he handed over 7 classrooms that were renovated through the NG-CDF funds.

He promised to set aside funds for the construction of a modern Junior Secondary School (JSS) section and equip it with computers and other technological materials.

The legislator praised the CS for education Ezekiel Machogu for his astute leadership, attributing his competence to his long experience in the public service.

Saying that the development of any country depends on shared responsibility by its people, Nyakundi called for peace in the country to enable leaders to settle and strategize on the best way to revive the country’s economy.
