Woman turned to witness in murder case of Deputy Principal

A middle aged woman has been unconditionally released by court and turned into a key witness in a love triangle case.

Pauline Moraa, the then accused person who was arrested alongside her alleged boyfriend Cyprian Karuri over the killing of a secondary school deputy principal in Kisii County.

The deceased, Thomson Ndege, was a secondary deputy principal, was stabbed at one of the pubs in Mosocho, Kisii County over an alleged love triangle and later pronounced dead on arrival at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.

Pauline Moraa and Cyprian Karuri were arrested and locked at Nyanchwa police station for the said killing.

The two appeared before the Kisii Law court resident magistrate Wa Kugwa Wahinya under miscellaneous application for the second time.

While presenting the suspects before court, the investigating officer, Wickliffe Mburu, told the court that they had talks with prosecution and agreed to have Moraa not charged but rather be used as the key witness in the case.

“We had talks with prosecution counsel and agreed to have Moraa as our key witness “said investigation officer.

The investigation officer further said that they had completed investigations including taking witnesses statements and conducted a postmortem.

Wahinya ruled that, Moraa accused person, to be released unconditionally as Karuri remains under the police custody awaiting to face the murder charges contrary to section 203 and 204 of the penal code.
