The MP for South Mugirango Constituency Sylvanus Osoro has promised to continue supporting education if he is elected for his second term.

Speaking at Mariwa Secondary School in his constituency, he said the area had experienced a lot of development during his five-year tenure.

He cited the purchase of buses for all secondary schools using the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF), building and renovation of classrooms, and increased allocations of bursary funds to bright and needy students.

“I promise to work with you by giving education a priority,” he said.

He said his next plan on education will be the provision of computers to all secondary schools in the constituency.

He asked the teachers to be ICT-compliant because a time is coming when it will be mandatory for every teacher to use a computer.

During the thanksgiving prayers at the school, the MP gave Mariwa Secondary School a cheque of Sh. 5 million as seed money for the installation of a computer laboratory.

The MP also donated 10 computers to the school and promised to solicit more funds from friends to continue with the construction of the computer laboratories.
