The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Basic Education and Early Learning, has released the official 2026 Term 2 co-curricular activities calendar for primary and junior school ball games in Nandi County.
According to the schedule, competitions will kick off at the interschool level on May 22, 2026, before progressing through cluster (May 29), sub-zonal (June 5), zonal (June 12), division (June 15), and sub-county levels (June 18–19).
The county championships are slated for July 2–3 at Nandi Hills (Tindiret), followed by team training from July 11–13 at AC Tegat in Kapsabet.
The regional competitions will then be held from July 14–21 in Lodwar, Turkana County, with the national championships scheduled for July 28 to August 1 in Kiambu and Thika.
The programme also factors in a mid-term break from June 24–28.
Disciplines to be featured include volleyball, football, handball, netball, basketball 3×3 (junior), and chess across various age categories for both boys and girls.

The organizers emphasized adherence to age limits, stating that primary school players must be under 12 years, while junior school participants must be under 14 years.
Additionally, sub-counties have been granted flexibility to skip the divisional level and proceed directly to sub-county competitions if they complete their zonal stages early.
