Secondary schools across Bomet County have intensified preparations for the upcoming term two games under the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA), with a strong emphasis on strict compliance with eligibility requirements.

According to guidelines issued through the Bomet County Senior Secondary Schools Sports Association, all participating students must be bona fide learners in their respective institutions, fully registered in the KSSSA portal, and must have been born on or after September 1, 2006.

For team sports including soccer, volleyball, netball, rugby sevens and lacrosse; schools are required to submit comprehensive documentation. These include certified KSSSA portal photo album printouts, official team lists on school letterheads detailing player information and certified team photos featuring only authorized participants, the coach and the principal.

Players must also present stamped school identification cards, certified academic certificates (KJSEA or KCPE), and valid birth certificates.

Similarly, individual sports such as table tennis, badminton, lawn tennis, chess, and scrabble demand strict adherence to documentation.

Participants must provide certified photo printouts, release letters, properly stamped data capture forms with attached passport photos, academic certificates, school IDs and birth certificates.

Officials note that the stringent requirements are aimed at ensuring fairness, transparency, and integrity in school competitions. Schools have been urged to finalize registrations early and verify all documents to avoid last-minute disqualifications.

With preparations in full swing, anticipation is building across the county as students gear up to showcase their talent while upholding discipline and sportsmanship in the much-awaited Term Two games.
