West Pokot dominates early stages of Rift Valley athletics as Allan “Omanyala” Kipsang shines

A glimpse of last year’s thrilling action at the KSSSA athletics championship in Machakos,

With the commencement of Rift Valley Regional athletics competitions in Bomet County, West Pokot County has warned other counties by winning several races at the early stages.

With good preparation from qualified and professional trainers, the athletes have a high chance of exceeding expectations in this year’s competitions.

In one of the races on Friday, Allan Kipsang shook the maximum-filled Bomet stadium by winning the 400m hurdles hit three as chants of cheers filled the stadium.

Allan Kipsang, popularly known as Omanyala, has been at the top at the school level and now at the regional level and is expected to go far.

Among his coaches and professional trainers is David Kimawachi, who said other participants are set to do marvellously in different fields and track events.
