A family from Manafwa village, Lutacho sub-location in Ndivisi ward, Webuye East constituency, Bungoma County is appealing for financial help so that their son, Dennis Murabwa, who has blood cancer (Leukemia) can undergo further treatment in India.
Edward Wanjala, the father said his son was admitted to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret (MTRH) after he was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2019 and since then he has used all what he had to clear hospital bills and the weekly chemotherapy.
He added that at the moment he cannot raise money to allow his son undergo treatment.
“I have a sick child who started ailing in 2019, when I took him to the hospital he was diagnosed with Leukemia and got hospitalized at MTRH for chemotherapy to be done, but the doctors have recommended that I take him to India for bone marrow transplant at the cost of Sh5 million, ” he said.
However, Mr Wanjala appealed to leaders and well-wishers to support him raise Sh5 million to enable his son undergo treatment, adding that the Chemotherapy has been costing him Sh80,000 weekly.
Dennis Murabwa urged well wishers and area leaders to donate the little they have so that he can be able to get treatment.
“I have been sick for the past two years now, I got hospitalized at MTRH but haven’t received medication as expected instead doctors have recommended that I am transferred to India for bone marrow transplant,” he said.
Before he developed complications he was a student at Kivaywa High School.
