The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) is seeking qualified individuals to fill positions on its Board of Directors, in accordance with Section 8(5) of the TVET Act, 2013.
Applicants, who must be Kenyan citizens, are invited to apply for board membership, provided they meet the following criteria:
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized Kenyan university.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience of over 15 years in areas related to Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Legal matters, or Finance matters.
- Have served in a senior management position (Assistant Director job group P in Civil Service) or an equivalent position in the public or private sector for more than 5 years.
- Meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution.
Selected members will serve on a part-time basis for a term not exceeding three years, with eligibility for reappointment for one additional term.
Interested candidates should submit the following documents with their applications:
- Application letter and detailed CV.
- Copies of university certificates and a National Identity Card or valid passport.
- Clearance certificates from relevant organizations, including the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), the Department of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), and a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) Clearance Certificate.
Applicants with degrees obtained outside Kenya must provide a letter of Recognition and Equation of Qualification from the Commission for University Education.
