The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has effected a fresh round of transfers involving principals from several schools in Machakos and Kitui counties.
The changes are expected to reshape leadership in the affected institutions ahead of the new academic phase.
Among the notable changes is the transfer of Damaris Muriuki from Tala Girls High School to Mikinduri Girls High School in Meru County.
Muriuki, who served at Tala Girls for only two terms after serving at Father Heeran Girls High School, returns to familiar territory as an alumna of Mikinduri Girls and a former principal at the school, where she served for seven years.
Her departure from Tala Girls marks the end of a short but significant stint at the institution.
She will now be replaced by Marietta Musaa, who has been serving as principal at Mwala Girls High School.

The reshuffle has also seen Beatrice Mulonzya moved from Kinyui Girls High School to Mbitini Girls High School, replacing Phoebe Ndimu in a transfer that links the two neighbouring counties.
At the same time, Vinette Ndunge, who has been heading Kwa Mutula Secondary School, has been appointed the new principal of Kinyui Girls’ High School.
