Teachers who have lost, misplaced or damaged their Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration certificates can apply for duplicate certificates through the commission’s online services portal. The replacement process requires applicants to follow a number of steps and provide supporting documents before a duplicate certificate can be issued.
For certificates that have been lost, misplaced or destroyed, applicants are required to obtain an original police abstract, which should be scanned and uploaded as part of the online application. Applicants should then access the TSC online registration portal and select “Application for Duplicate Certificate of Registration,” providing personal and registration details, including their National ID or passport number, TSC number, surname, telephone number, email address and KRA PIN. Applicants must also scan and upload the required original supporting documents, and the Commission advises them to ensure that the documents submitted meet the requirements specified on the online application system.

Teachers seeking replacement of their registration certificates because of a change of name are required to provide relevant supporting evidence. Instead of a police abstract, applicants in such cases may be required to submit documents such as an affidavit or marriage certificate to support the change of name.

The online replacement process is intended to provide teachers with a more convenient way of obtaining duplicate registration certificates without having to begin the registration process afresh. Teachers are advised to carefully check the information and documents required on the TSC portal before submitting their applications to avoid delays in processing.
