- TSC has extended the PSSF Member Self-Service Portal registration deadline to August 31 after a low completion rate among teachers.
- The Commission says only a small fraction of registered members have completed the required enrolment and beneficiary nomination forms.
- Teachers yet to complete the process have been urged to finalise their registration before the new deadline.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has extended the registration deadline for teachers enrolled in the Public Service Superannuation Fund (PSSF) Member Self-Service Portal to August 31, 2026, following a low completion rate among teachers.
In an internal memo dated July 27, 2026, and addressed to all TSC County Directors, the Commission said the extension follows the realization that although about 107,000 out of 324,000 teachers under the PSSF had successfully registered on the portal, fewer than 10,000 teachers had completed both the PSSF Member Enrolment Form (PSSF1) and the Beneficiary Nomination Form (PSSF2).
TSC noted that the low completion rate means the onboarding process cannot be fully actualized within the earlier deadline, making it necessary to give members additional time to finalize their registration.
The Commission said the extension is intended to allow teachers who are yet to complete the process to do so and urged all affected members to utilize the opportunity before the revised deadline.
It further emphasized that all information submitted during registration should be accurate and complete to ensure seamless access to PSSF member accounts and related services.
Teachers required to complete enrolment
Teachers are required to register on the PSSF Member Self-Service Portal, complete the PSSF1 enrolment form, upload a clear PDF copy of both sides of their national identity card on a single page, and fill in the PSSF2 Beneficiary Nomination Form by providing the required beneficiary details, including names, dates of birth, identification numbers, telephone contacts, birth certificate numbers for minors and the percentage allocation for each beneficiary.
The Commission clarified that teachers who have already completed the registration process in accordance with the earlier guidelines are not required to take any further action.
TSC has directed all County Directors to circulate the memo to teachers within their respective counties to ensure all eligible members complete the registration before August 31, 2026.
