- TSC has announced 34,016 promotion vacancies spanning 30 categories from Grade C2 to D5.
- Senior Teacher II accounts for the largest share, with 13,490 positions available across the country.
- Qualified teachers and Curriculum Support Officers must submit online applications by midnight on August 10.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has advertised 34,016 promotion vacancies for teachers and Curriculum Support Officers across 30 categories and grades.
The advertisement appeared in the Government Advertising Agency’s NewsFocus publication dated July 28, 2026.
The vacancies range from Chief Principal at Grade D5, T-Scale 15, to Senior Teacher II at Grade C2, T-Scale 7.
TSC said the recruitment is being undertaken pursuant to its constitutional mandate under Article 237(1) of the Constitution.
“The Commission invites applications from suitably qualified teachers and Curriculum Support Officers for the posts shown below in line with the Career Progression Guidelines for Teachers, and Curriculum Support Officers,” the advert states.
34,016 positions across 30 categories
At the highest level, TSC has advertised 54 Chief Principal – Regular positions under Advert No. 78/2026 and seven Chief Principal – TTC positions under Advert No. 79/2026. Both are Grade D5, T-Scale 15.
There are 148 Senior Principal – Regular positions and seven Senior Principal – TTC positions at Grade D4, T-Scale 14, under Advert Nos. 80/2026 and 81/2026 respectively.
At Grade D3, T-Scale 13, the Commission is seeking 770 Principal – Regular, seven Principal – TTC and six Principal – SNE officers under Advert Nos. 82/2026, 83/2026 and 84/2026 respectively.
Grade D2, T-Scale 12, has 891 Deputy Principal II – Regular positions under Advert No. 85/2026, 15 Senior Lecturer I positions under Advert No. 86/2026 and two Senior Master I positions under Advert No. 87/2026.
Vacancies at Grade D1
TSC has also announced several opportunities at Grade D1, T-Scale 11.
They comprise 34 Curriculum Support Officer I positions under Advert No. 88/2026 and seven Curriculum Support Officer I – SNE positions under Advert No. 89/2026.
The Commission is also seeking 1,068 Deputy Principal III – Regular officers under Advert No. 90/2026 and five Deputy Principal III – SNE officers under Advert No. 91/2026.
There are 199 Senior Headteacher – Regular vacancies under Advert No. 92/2026 and five Senior Headteacher – SNE vacancies under Advert No. 93/2026.
A further 34 Senior Lecturer II and 272 Senior Master II positions have been advertised under Advert Nos. 94/2026 and 95/2026 respectively.
Thousands of C2 to C5 vacancies
At Grade C5, T-Scale 10, TSC has advertised 69 Curriculum Support Officer II (Regular & SNE) positions under Advert No. 96/2026.
Another 1,865 Deputy Headteacher I positions are available under Advert No. 97/2026, while Deputy Headteacher I – SNE has 20 vacancies under Advert No. 98/2026.
Senior Lecturer III has 44 vacancies under Advert No. 99/2026, while Senior Master III has 1,665 positions under Advert No. 100/2026.
At Grade C4, T-Scale 9, the Commission has advertised 3,075 Deputy Headteacher II – Regular positions under Advert No. 101/2026 and 20 Deputy Headteacher II – SNE positions under Advert No. 102/2026.
There are also 51 Senior Lecturer IV vacancies under Advert No. 103/2026 and 5,956 Senior Master IV (Regular & SNE) positions under Advert No. 104/2026.
At Grade C3, T-Scale 8, Secondary Teacher I has 20 vacancies under Advert No. 105/2026, while Senior Teacher I (Regular & SNE) has 4,210 vacancies under Advert No. 106/2026.
The largest single allocation is at Grade C2, T-Scale 7, where TSC has advertised 13,490 Senior Teacher II (Regular & SNE) positions under Advert No. 107/2026.
Together, the 30 categories account for 34,016 promotion vacancies.
Applications close August 10
TSC has directed interested teachers and Curriculum Support Officers who meet the qualifications to submit their applications online through its portal.
“Interested candidates, who meet the required qualifications, should submit their applications online through the TSC portal,” the Commission states.
Applications must reach the Commission by midnight on Monday, August 10, 2026.
“Manual applications shall not be considered,” TSC says.
Successful candidates will not necessarily remain at their current stations, with the Commission stating that they “shall be posted to schools where vacancies are available.”
TSC has also reiterated its equal-opportunity policy.

The advertisement is issued by the Secretary/Chief Executive of the Teachers Service Commission.

An earlier promotion advertisement that had been posted on the TSC website over the weekend was subsequently withdrawn after the Commission cited errors.
