TSC advertises 170 vacancies to fill critical positions at its Secretariat

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 170 job vacancies in a recruitment drive targeting professionals in teacher management, staffing, human resource management, internal audit and risk management.

In an external advert released by the commission, TSC invited qualified, experienced and highly motivated Kenyans to apply for various senior and middle-level positions before the deadline of March 23, 2026.

Among the positions advertised are Senior Deputy Director for Human Resource Management and Development, Senior Deputy Director for Internal Audit, Deputy Directors in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Internal Audit (Information System) and Risk Management.

The commission has also advertised 132 vacancies for Assistant Director Teacher Management (Field), making it the highest number of positions in the recruitment exercise.

Other positions include Principal Officer Teacher Professional Management (20 vacancies), Principal Officer Staffing (8 vacancies) and Principal Officer Teacher Discipline Management (3 vacancies).

TSC said the recruitment is aimed at strengthening management, accountability and service delivery within the education sector as the commission continues to oversee teacher deployment and professional standards across the country.

According to the advert, applications must be submitted online through the TSC portal, with the commission warning that no manual applications will be accepted.

The commission further noted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and successful applicants will be required to present original academic and professional certificates, transcripts and national identity cards during interviews.

TSC also encouraged persons living with disabilities to apply, saying it is an equal opportunity employer guided by constitutional provisions and labour laws.
