Faith Mumo Kawee, the top performer in the 2020 KCPE examinations, has achieved an impressive A- in the just-released KCSE results.

Kawee, a native of Malaa in Matungulu Sub-county, Machakos County, initially faced financial challenges that threatened her admission to Kenya High School, where she had been placed.

Thanks to the intervention of area MP Stephen Mule, who offered her a full sponsorship, Kawee was able to pursue her secondary education and excel.

The lawmaker had pledged to support her education through to university if she maintained good performance.

Expressing his delight, Mule highlighted the success of other students under his sponsorship programme.

“I’m very happy with the results we’ve received. Out of the students I sponsor, 38 scored straight As, and 500 are heading to university after attaining a mean grade of C+ and above,” he said.

On the ongoing bursary applications, Mule addressed concerns about the selection process, assuring residents that the CDF board oversees it transparently and there is no need to worry.
