Thika High regains lost glory with impressive 2023 results

Thika High School fraternity celebrates the sterling performance as soon as they got the results.

Thika High School has reclaimed its lost glory by registering sterling results in 2023 KCSE examinations, attaining a mean point of 7.93 to improve from 7.61 in 2022.

Located in Thika Sub-county, Kiambu County, 351 candidates out of 450 qualified to join university as 4 scored A plain, 28 got A-, and 69 scored B plus. Only 4 scored D Plain.

The school Senior Principal Julius Muraya attributed the outstanding performance to hard work and commitment by both the candidates and the teaching staff.

“The 351 we managed to take to university is the biggest number ever,”  Muraya said.

He noted that the school is set to admit some 500 students in Form One.

One of those who scored straight A’s Clinton Mugama hailed the support by his teachers and parents as the force behind his performance. He is looking forward to
studying Aviation and fulfilling his dreams of becoming a pilot.

At neighbouring Thika Girls Karibaribi, the Principal Faith Wawira said their best girl Elizabeth Wangare got an A minus and attributed her performance to hard work and dedication.

Wangare, an Equity Bank’s Wings to Fly Scholarship beneficiary, wants to pursue Medicine at the university inspired by her experiences seeing many people die of poverty-related diseases.
