The Thika Alumni Trust (TAT) has opened its 57th e-learning center at Senior Chief Koinange Girls Secondary School in Kiambaa Constituency, aiming to enhance ICT integration in education.

Maxwell Kayesi HSC, a teacher at the school, speaking during the launch of the programme said that TAT collaborated with Harpal and Liz Punia, alumni of Chania Boys High in Thika, to set up a 50-computer e-learning center.

“This is in readiness for the rolled out Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) which brings about digital literacy,” he said.

Kayesi noted that the center strictly provides educational resources, preventing access to restricted sites. He emphasized that all funds raised in the UK go directly to Kenyan schools, with volunteers helping facilitate the initiatives.

This initiative prepares students and teachers for the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), emphasizing digital literacy.
