The 14th annual international Music and Performing Arts Conference has commenced at Kabarak University.
The two-day event, hosted by Kabarak University’s school of Music and Media, was officially opened by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. John Ocholla, who represented VC Prof. Henry Kiplang’at.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Ocholla emphasized the significance of Kabarak’s partnerships with international institutions, particularly the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and the University of Venda in South Africa.
He stated that these collaborations have played a pivotal role in the university’s vision to foster a global exchange of knowledge in music and performing arts.
Representatives from the mentioned institutions were present at the conference which is expected to feature insightful discussions and promote global collaboration.

The conference will feature various panel discussions, performances and presentations, focusing on themes such as cultural exchange, innovation in music education and the role of performing arts in shaping societal values.
