Teddy Odhiambo, a proud alumnus of Kanga High School, has been elected as the new President of the Egerton University Students Association (EUSA). The news of his victory sent shockwaves of excitement among students, with Kanga High School students in Rongo taking to the roads to celebrate his win.
Odhiambo secured 24 votes, defeating his opponent, Musita Godrick. He will be deputised by Jane Wanjiru.
Briefs from the University to Education News confirmed that the elections were free and fair, as they were conducted electronically. The EUSA Electoral Commission, led by Chairman Dr. Moses Gichuki and Vice-Chairman Dr. Rev. Nduati, oversaw the process.

According to the institution’s communication channels, the polls were conducted by the Egerton Students’ Elections Commission (ESEC) under the chairmanship of Julius Kipkemboi. The Commission had adopted a digital voting system dubbed “Smartkura,” designed to enhance transparency, efficiency, and credibility in the electoral process
