The Ministry of Education through the Teachers Service Commission ( TSC ) has been called upon to stop forcing teachers to be vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus.
Bungoma county Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Executive Secretary Ken Nganga said that the Covid-19 jab should be taken by the teachers voluntarily and not by use of threats and intimidation by their employer TSC .
Nganga who is also an executive member of the National Executive Council (NEC ) said that the statement issued recently by the TSC Boss Nancy Macharia concerning the mandatory vaccination exercise for all teachers is against the International Labour laws as contained in the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
