Saruni Tasur has been elected as the new Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Narok Branch Executive Secretary defeating incumbent Charles Ng’eno in a closely contested election held on Sunday, March 8 at William ole Ntimama Stadium.
Ng’eno, who was seeking a third term, lost to Tasur in a vote that drew high participation from teachers across the county.
Speaking shortly after being declared winner, the new branch boss, termed the outcome as “a new dawn for KUPPET Narok.” He has pledged unity and transformative leadership.
“I am deeply humbled by the confidence teachers have shown in me. This victory belongs to all members who desire strong representation, transparency and renewed energy in championing their welfare,” Tasur said.
He called on his predecessor and all contestants to embrace unity, noting that the union’s strength lies in solidarity.

Returning Treasurer Seela Kuluo, who successfully defended his seat, thanked members for renewing his mandate.
He pledged to continue upholding accountability in the management of union finances.
