Starehe Girls Centre set to celebrate 20 years of empowering young women

Starehe Girls’ Centre will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Saturday, 6th September, with a vibrant event themed “From Potential to Power: 20 Years of Transforming Girls’ Lives.”

The event will take place at the school grounds, bringing together alumni, students, staff, and partners to honour two decades of impact in girls’ education and leadership.

Founded in 2005, Starehe Girls has grown into a nationally respected institution, nurturing academic excellence, character, and community service. The anniversary celebration will feature student exhibitions, showcasing innovation and creativity across disciplines, and the launch of the SGC Wall, a legacy installation supported by the M-Pesa Foundation.

A highlight of the day will be the unveiling of the Tree of Honour, a symbolic tribute to the individuals and organizations whose contributions have shaped the school’s journey.
