St. Luke’s Kimilili Boys Senior School has been crowned the AI for Good Youth Robotics Champions 2026, marking a landmark achievement that places the institution firmly on the global innovation stage.

The victory has earned the school’s robotics team a ticket to Geneva, Switzerland, where they will represent Kenya at an international showcase of youth-led technological innovation.

Their win comes after the team from St. Luke’s Kimilili Boys Senior School impressed judges with a highly competitive robotics project developed through months of intensive designing, coding, testing, and problem-solving anchored in artificial intelligence and STEM innovation.

The school hailed the win as a reflection of discipline, teamwork, resilience, and the growing strength of its innovation culture.

Chief Principal Innocent Siro lauded the learners for their exceptional performance, describing the victory as a defining moment for the institution’s academic and technological journey.

“This achievement reflects the commitment, creativity, and determination of our learners. We are proud of them and fully support their journey to the global stage in Geneva,” Siro said.

He further noted that the school’s investment in STEM education and robotics is beginning to bear fruit, positioning students to compete and excel in global innovation platforms.

The achievement has also been supported through collaborative efforts with partners such as ICT Authority, Communications Authority of Kenya, UNICEF, and Google, who continue to promote youth innovation and digital skills development.

As preparations for Geneva intensify, excitement continues to grow within the school, with learners and staff expressing confidence that this victory marks only the beginning of a stronger presence in global robotics and AI competitions.
