Unknown people left a watchman at St. Paul’s Kokare Primary School in Malaba South Ward, Teso North Constituency in Busia County with serious injuries after breaking into the school and making away with one cow on Sunday night.

According to Faith Odima, the school deputy head teacher and Eugene Etyang who was the teacher on duty, they received the information from a student who had been hiding after arriving late to school after the morning assembly.

“The student informed us that the watchman, Charles Omongor, was lying beside the school fence a few meters from the main gate with his hands and legs tied.” They said

Security officers later arrived at the school to confirm the incident and  took the watchman to Kocholia Hospital in Teso North for treatment.
