Tragedy struck on the Sondu-Katito Road when a Nissan Matatu carrying pupils from Ober Boys Boarding Primary School was involved in a fatal accident, leaving eight children dead and several others critically injured.
The accident occurred at the Nyabondo junction in Kibuon, Nyakach sub-county, as the students were heading home for the April holidays.
The injured were rushed to Nyabondo Hospital for treatment.
